In Home Design Consultation 1
My partner and I love the style of Few & Far. We booked an in Home Design consultation with them, which turned out to be a waste of money and a big disappointment.
As they position themselves as a luxury brand, we expected the same quality from their design service.
The designer came over to our house and sent us a proposal a week later.
This proposal was a link in Canva that opened up a what seemed a draft that still needed to be finished.
Although it looked very unprofessional, we loved the couch she proposed and decided to drive to Berry to check it out.
The colour in her proposal was like cinnamon bronze but the couch turned out to be a yellow mustard gold kind of colour.
Many of the items in the proposal turned out to be completely different in reality.
So different that pretty much nothing she proposed matched our interior!
I understand that a photographer might have challenges getting the colours right. But if that’s the case, they might not be the right photographer for your service.
In my personal view, I think it’s fair to expect that an interior designer know the true colours of the items they propose. Especially after a home visit and when she’s surrounded by these items daily in their shop.
I know that this is a new service but there are things that need be improved.
The designer forgot to delete pages in our Canva proposal. They belonged to a proposal of another customer. She didn’t properly update and check her template in Canva before sending us the link. My last name was spelled incorrectly as well.
It’s all of these things together that makes us feel this was a waste of our time and money.
Even though we really like the style of Few and Far, and the service we got in their Huskinsson shop was great.
My suggestion would be to at least create a pdf from your proposals instead of sending your clients link.
You sell high end luxury products and this looks very unprofessional.
I use Canva too for my work and I was able to just move the items around in our proposal. The quality of the photos is bad.
You can see that you use the background removal option.
The design of the proposals in general looks really nice. If we had received it as a pdf it would have looked beautiful. Now we had to download and create one myself.
The proposal also referred to pages that I couldn’t find in the document. When I asked the designer about the missing pages she said that that wasn’t supposed to be in there and that if I wanted that I had to pay for that.
A missed opportunity if you ask me, because when I initially read it, I got really excited as I thought she had taken the effort to give us some more suggestions for our bedroom.
Adding this surprise page in future proposals could be a great way to upsell.
This too ended up in a disappointment.
I decided to share this feedback with the designer as well, but she never replied and we haven’t heard from her again.
So yes, this experience was more than disappointing and not the kind of customer service and quality we expected.

Thank you Denise for taking the time to share your experience. We have worked extremely hard to get the Interior Services program off the ground, so this feedback has not been taken lightly. There is nothing we would love more than to have every client we work with overwhelmed and excited with what we have created for them. This is our passion - which leads us to genuinely thank you for your love of Few and Far! As you didn't respond to our email on 23/9 or phone call from our owner Tara Solberg we understand you were not interested in taking up the offer provided, which we respect, although it is of course open should you reconsider. We would like to reassure readers of this review that all of our furniture is shot by a professional photographer who works with many leading companies. Despite this colour can vary by screens and devices, so we do have fabric samples, which unfortunately appear to have been missed in your case. We always present our final concepts as a PDF document, and this not being what occurred in your situation is unacceptable and has been addressed with our team. We work with our clients to come up with concepts until they are happy with the end result, it is rarely just one presentation, so again we have addressed this internally to ensure it is clear to our design team. We are sorry that your experience didn't allow us to create a home you love, and should you change your mind and wish to take up the offer provided please do not hesitate to contact us.
