Sales Assistant - Part Time / Casual
Hours: Monday to Friday plus weekend and Public Holiday availability.

Few and Far’s Rosebery showroom offers a curated collection of furniture and homewares, blending timeless design with contemporary style. The showroom is also a shared space where our trade customers, such as interior designers and stylists, can source products from our sister brand Indigo Love for their projects.

The Role 
This dynamic role combines sales expertise with design and styling knowledge, offering a unique opportunity to engage with retail, trade, and wholesale clients. As a Sales Consultant, you'll focus on building strong, long-lasting relationships while delivering personalised service and expert advice. Your goal will be to foster customer loyalty through curated recommendations and exceptional service, driving growth across both retail and trade channels. 


Key Requirements include: 

Customer Engagement & Relationship Building:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with all customers.
  • Provide personalised service to clients/customers, offering product recommendations based on an understanding of their specific requirements.
  • Maintain a high standard of store presentation that maintains our unique point of difference.
  • Perform administrative duties including answering phones, providing quotes and data input.
  • Understand the importance of follow up, always focusing on improvement and service excellence.

 Design & Styling Expertise:

  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of Few and Far and Indigo Love products, including finishes, materials, and trends, to provide expert advice.
  • Stay up-to-date with current design trends, providing relevant insights to both retail customers and trade professionals.

Sales & Business Development:

  • Drive sales through proactive engagement with all customers, educating them on the Few and Far/Indigo Love brands.
  • Meet sales targets by ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and repeat business.


About you

  • Must be able to work weekends
  • Have previous experience in a similar sales role (retail experience preferred)
  • Sales and results orientated with proven experience in meeting KPI’s
  • Have excellent communication skills and computer literacy
  • Previous furniture industry experience is an advantage
  • Proactive, motivated and use initiative. You are confident, have a flair for style and have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong administrative and computer skills


Key Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in a similar role, preferably within the interior design, wholesale, or furniture/homewares industry.
  • Skills: Strong communication, relationship-building, and sales skills. Experience in working with trade professionals is highly desirable.
  • Product Knowledge: Expertise in furniture and homewares products, with an ability to understand and meet the needs of both retail and trade customers.
  • Availability: Must be available to work weekends.
