Last Thursday, Few & Far took a momentous step in its journey, unveiling its first-ever city showroom at The Engine Yards, Rosebery. Bringing its signature blend of global treasures, vintage finds and artisanal homewares to Sydney, the new space is a haven for design lovers and style seekers alike.
For years, Few & Far has captivated customers with its thoughtfully curated collections, seamlessly blending the old with the new. What started as a humble boutique on the South Coast has grown into a destination for unique, soulful interiors—spanning regional stores, a thriving online presence and now, a flagship store in Sydney’s design precinct.
To celebrate this exciting milestone, founders Tara and Danny Solberg hosted an intimate gathering of VIP guests, including designers, trade professionals and Australian TV personalities who shared their admiration for the brand.
“I’ve been a massive fan of Few & Far for many years. Half my house is filled with their pieces!” - Darren Palmer, Interior Designer
The evening was a celebration of design, craftsmanship and community—hallmarks of the Few & Far ethos. Guests explored the beautifully styled space, experiencing firsthand the textures, stories and craftsmanship behind every hand-selected piece.
Few & Far Co-Founder and Creative Director, Tara Solberg, delivered an inspiring speech, reflecting on the brand’s journey from its South Coast roots to its Sydney expansion. Expressing heartfelt gratitude to the team and suppliers who helped bring the new showroom to life, acknowledging the challenge of stepping away from her father’s expertise in fitouts and entrusting the project to new hands.
“They say it takes a village to raise a child, but let me tell you, it takes a lot to open a store!” - Tara Solberg
Highlighting the passion, dedication and collaboration that transformed a vision into reality a special thanks went to Acerra Constructions, Mamo Stone, Eurowalls and Sage and Seer.
Nestled within the industrial-chic precinct of The Engine Yards, the new store is more than just a retail space—it’s a destination for inspiration. From hand-carved Indian sideboards to Mediterranean-inspired lighting, the collection offers layers of style and storytelling.
“Few & Far is the interior design community’s best-kept secret. Now that the brand is in Sydney, the secret is out.” - Neale Whitaker, Interior Designer
Adding to the experience, the showroom also serves as a hub for Indigo Love, Few & Far’s sister brand dedicated to trade and wholesale clients. Interior designers, architects, and stylists can now access a curated selection of one-of-a-kind, reclaimed and handcrafted pieces right in the heart of Sydney.
Few & Far’s Interior Styling Services are now available at the Rosebery location, offering expert guidance on everything from refreshing a single room to designing an entire home. Whether in-store or in-home, the team works closely with clients to craft spaces that reflect personal stories and lifestyles.
“We believe styling a home is deeply personal. Our goal is to help clients create spaces that feel uniquely theirs.” - Tara Solberg, Co-Founder & Creative Director
The drink of the evening was undoubtedly Polka, introducing an exciting new flavor in non-alcoholic limoncello spritz—available in all Few & Far stores. VIP guests were treated to carefully curated gift bags filled with an assortment of luxurious goodies from Leif, Hunter, Addition Studio, Stray Willow, Lord & Lion, Aspar, and Kleins. These premium products, each thoughtfully selected, are available for purchase at Few & Far stores, offering customers a taste of refined craftsmanship and quality.
