eCommerce Manager

Are you an experienced Web Designer / Developer who lives and breathes all things Shopify and Web Development with a keen eye for design to enhance and promote the products and services of two local growing brands.

About Few and Far

Few and Far are fast-growing retail business with a strong E-commerce presence and are looking for someone to take their online stores to the next level. Their head office is located in one of the most beautiful towns on NSW’s South Coast, Huskisson, with stores in Huskisson, Berry, Bowral and Thirroul. 

As part of the Few and Far web team, you’ll help keep their E-commerce websites up to date. They are looking for someone who is energetic self-starter, with strong problem solving skills who will either work within their Huskisson head office, or work a hybrid working arrangement. 

 

The Role

  • Your focus will be on the day-to-day management, web design and development of several growing E-commerce websites including their products, content, and merchandising using Shopify’s liquid, by using the best web build principles for the Shopify platform to maintain attractive ecommerce websites, with a focus on customer UX optimised for maximum conversion into sales.
  • Manage product content for online store, ensuring all imagery, descriptions and pricing remain accurate and up to date at all times
  • You’ll ensure all aspects of the businesses’ Shopify websites are functioning and optimised for all modern browsers, and are responsive to all types or mobile, tablet and desktop ensuring our website stays up to date with all the latest technology by continuing to refine and complete all functionalities with a focus on performance.
  • Consistently improving the website’s functionality, building links to the online stores with the use of updated code, new improved apps, and or plug-ins, ensuring the websites maintain seamless integrations with third party applications or API’s.
  • Testing, bug-fixing, and deploying
  • Work collaboratively with the Inventory Manager to monitor and maintain stock levels across the websites.
  • Utilise web analysis to identify actionable improvements that can be made on the websites to further drive conversions and manage the changes through end-to-end.
  • Utilise website metrics (e.g Google Analytics and HotJar) to make recommendations to optimise website design and performance
  • Convert website visits to online sales by ensuring a smooth and optimised website navigation experience, and up to date promotional materials across websites.
  • Visually merchandise products across all categories for an engaging online experience by maintaining beautifully crafted custom content pages.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and contribute to a fully integrated SEM digital marketing strategy including EDMs, socials, paid search, SEO and content. Continually optimising the website structure and content for SEO, and paid online advertisements for SEM to support business promotions both instore and online.
  • Brief and manage the end-to-end delivery of digital graphic assets required for the websites and digital marketing campaigns.
  • Keep up to date, and implement the latest industry innovations, current trends and emerging technology to identify opportunities to grow the eCommerce channels, drive online sales performance and online ranking to align with each businesses growth goals
  • Measure and regularly report to key stakeholders on the website analytics and performance, UX, trends, and the best apps and tools to use with the Shopify platform.
  • Setting Up / Maintaining hosting and email accounts.
  • Website CMS training with other team members when requested.
  • Provide ongoing Technical support.

 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience using Shopify (Liquid) essential
  • Sound knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Liquid (Shopify)
  • Experience using formulas in Google Sheets/Excel
  • Hosting fundamentals and domain administration
  • Excellent planning and analytical skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional written communication skills, including experience with brand copywriting
  • Demonstrates initiative and has a solid attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, ability to manage an array of daily tasks
  • Strong organisational skills and time management skills
  • Proven ability to work autonomously whilst managing multiple deadlines
  • Willingness and proven ability to work effectively in a team environment 
  • Tertiary qualification in IT (website development and design), and/or Marketing and Communications is a bonus
  • Bachelor’s degree in software, web development or computer science desired but not essential.
  • Minimum 2-3 years proven commercial experience with Shopify.

Remuneration is negotiable depending on the experience of the applicant.
